Schedule of Fees

The certificate fee amendments set out below will be effective for all manual certificates with an issue date of 1 January 2010 or later. 

All other quota management fees for European Union Sheepmeat and Goatmeat Tariff Rate Quota, European Union High Quality Beef Tariff Rate Quota and United States Beef and Veal Tariff Rate Quota remain unchanged.

In the case of certificate cancellation, a fee is paid for the original issuing of the certificate and again for cancellation of the certificate and crediting of the exporter quota balance.

* Effective from 1 January 2010, a manual certificate fee is payable where a request is made the issuing of a quota certificate in Wellington, and the request is made otherwise that through the board's electronic certification system.

Approval of company procedures and audits of compliance with those procedures are carried out by independent auditors, at the company’s expense.


Note
For European Union Sheepmeat and Goatmeat Tariff Rate Quota and United States Beef and Veal Tariff Rate Quota:

Applications by New Entrants for Reserved Quota Allowance Allocations, together with fees payable, are due by 1 September each year.

Applications and fees from General Quota Holders are due by 15 October each year.

In relation to the European Union Sheepmeat and Goatmeat Tariff Rate Quota the tariff rate applying to "in quota" imports is zero.

The European Union High Quality Beef Tariff Rate Quota has a tariff rate applying to "in quota" imports of 20% ad valorem duty.

The United States Beef and Veal Tariff Rate Quota has a tariff rate applying to "in quota" imports of $US0.044 per kilogram on most beef products.

The attached link to the Notification titled "Amendments to Quota Fees" provides details of amendment to the fee payable for all manual certificates with an issue date of 1 January 2010 as gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette on 19 November 2009.
